There is so much to like here. A seemingly simple design that invites the reader
with its warm hues and strong lines that subtly guide the eyes across the page. Clean and crisp, this cover made me want to open the paper to see more. Mission accomplished!

2nd- Matt Karbownik (Schoolcraft College)
Judge comments:
A highly recognizable design style that's easy to follow, and it has several potential entry points, giving the reader plenty of reasons to check out what's inside. An overall handsome page.

3rd- Julie Newell (Lansing Community College)
Judge comments:
Visually appealing, with dollops of holiday colors that don't take away from the
main attraction, an image that is sure to catch more than a few eyes. Some tweaks on lightening the main photo might have improved its balance. Very well organized.

Judge comments:
An attractive, traditional page that draws the eye without asking too much of the
reader. It also has a clever headline to boot.
